Invasion

Written By: Alex Claw

Do you remember during the Great Struggle, when the aliens invaded? How we turned our great cities into charnel houses fighting street to street, how we set off dirty bombs in the hearts of the aliens’ great city ships, or how we flatten hundreds of square miles with artillery barrages and how we filled the air with clouds of that toxic gas?

Do you also remember the trees the aliens planted, the species that they brought back from near extinction, or how the last alien killed was defending a human child’s life?

Oh, no. I’m still all for eradicating them.

Open the flood gates of your imagination and you’ll find there’s some weird ass shit floating around in there. I oddly enjoy seeing some horrific looking amalgamation of critters, mad scientist style.

Guardian Angels

Written By: Alex Claw

I was, like, your guardian angel, kid.

You remember all those times when you were afraid and the some of the big choices had to be made? Well, I was there at your side and I helped you along.

I’ve shaped your life and you’ve successfully squandered it. Boy, you had such potential, such ability, and it terrified us. The things you would have accomplished would have been amazing.

You see, I’m not here to make sure you live a successful life. I’m here to make sure you never achieve you destined greatness. That’s my job and I’ve done good.

You haven’t lived until you’ve had mutton grease dribbling down your chin.

There’s actually a lot of work that goes into those little pages I put on on an every other day basis. You see those awesome clean lines and you just swoon, sure, but prior to that, it’s a lot of messy lines that are all chaos and randomness.

You Changed Everything

Written By: Alex Claw

Everything was different before you came. The world was dark and dreary; there were screams in the night and terrors in the day. You changed all of that. Now the sun shines and there is nothing to fear. You’ve brought joy and happiness to my life. You turned everything upside down and inside out.

You’ve undone me. Changed me completely. I’m no longer the person I was before.

Stop struggling; you’ll only make it worse.

Everything that I was and wished to be, you destroyed it all with your love. My entire world has been decimated. I liked that world.

When it comes to drawing, there’s one guy that’s had probably the biggest influence on the way I draw things. That dude is Mike Mignola and his creation, Hellboy. Here’s my sad attempt to ape his skill.

Drabble Me This 11 – “Hero By Night?”

Hero by Night?

Written By: Alex Claw

By day I’m a mild mannered office worker, by night I’m a sword swinging urban hero fighting the good fight in this corrupt city. I am the Blade of Justice.

I’ve fought the crime bosses in the Central District to save the heart of the city. I defeated the crazed Doctor Burner in East Landing and saved half the people that lived there. Atop the Kilkenny Towers I fought Vigilante Jones and his recruits, ending his deluded sense of justice that was terrorizing the city.

The night is safe again. The city is healing.

And then I wake up.

Sometimes you have to draw what’s in your head. This little buddy was in there. Which is weird.
