What is one of the most stressful times in your life? They claim moving is one of them. I can tell you with a pure righteous and near fanatical absolute that I despise moving with the heat of a million R136A1’s. My innards cringe and my muscles weep at the thought of doing it, then the pleading and begging hits, and then finally the stoic acceptance of it all. Sort of like the stages of grief.
But thank the cloud-covered heavens that that bit of nonsense is over and now I can go back to the sole joy of my life. Reading Cat Fancy (is that magazine even still being made?). August is going to be a busy month for me. Not because I’ve got a lot of work to do, but because I’ve got a lot of work to catch up on. July was more or less a bust in productivity. One can only do so much after being struck dumb by the exquisite heat of the mid Arizona sun with the double whammy of having to pack up a bazillion years of accumulated junk and heft it miles away.
There are several things I’m going to focus on this month.
- All Manner of Bad
- Bitterwater Tales
- The Novel I’ve been more or less trying to write for the last year
- And finally a new project that’s been begging for me to give it a little spotlight.
- Not to mention AH.com titlecards and episodes. Those need to be done and I’m just the guy who has to do it. Odd that.
So August is going to be all manner of busy and I’m oddly excited to get to and put nose to grindstone, pedal to metal, and whip to donkey.
I’ve got a new cave to call home, the summer’s end is on the horizon, and the world is looking peachy keen from my POV.
